What is the difference between Cartier Tank Solo vs Tank Must?
Today we are going to talk about the difference between Cartier Tank Solo and Tank Must. The main difference between the Cartier Tank Solo and Tank Must watches is in their watch case design and the materials used. Tank Solo XL is being replaced with Tank Must XL. Pretty much similar sizes.
The Cartier Tank Solo has a classic and timeless design, with a clean, simple and refined aesthetic. It features a stainless steel case, a silvered opaline dial with black Roman numerals, sword-shaped blued steel hands, and a sapphire crystal. It comes in a range of sizes, from small, large to XL.
The Cartier Tank Must, on the other hand, is a more modern and bold interpretation of the Tank watch, featuring a larger case and a thicker strap. It has a stainless steel case, a colored lacquered dial with black Roman numerals, sword-shaped hands with a luminescent coating, and a sapphire crystal.
Tank Must vs Tank Solo – Tank Must has rounded watch bezel unlike flat on Solo, which is usual Louis Cartier feature.
Tank Solo vs Tank Must – Pointed blue synthetic cabochon crown vs domed crown.
The Extra-large model is powered by the caliber 1847 MC, Cartier’s entry-level in-house movement with 40 hours of power reserve. This model also has central seconds and a date aperture at 6 o’clock, courtesy of the movement, and features additional refined touches that include guilloche stamping on the dial and a beaded crown (the crown of the other two sizes is merely knurled). The small and large sizes are available as with a traditional quartz movement with a stated autonomy of 8 years – gem-set variants with brancards paved with brilliant-cut diamonds are also available (0.48 ct in the large model, 0.46 ct in the small model).
Tank Solo vs Tank Must – watch band system
Finally, Tank Must have both easy switch strap and bracelet feature (and a better bracelet), which alone is a better feature for upgrade. But what about the rest when comparing on the straps? Which of them looks better? Thoughts?
